SOUTHWICK: Kathy Jean (Welch) McBride, 75, (1946 – 2021) passed away at home on November 27, 2021 surrounded by her loving daughters.
Kathy held many types of jobs throughout her lifetime, starting out in the office at Suffield High School in her freshman year and retiring as a CNA in Maine. With her enjoyment of avid reading, her faith, family, and friends, she lived her best life.
She was predeceased by her parents, beloved son Matthew McBride, and beloved grandson Michael G. Ryan.
Kathy is survived by her four daughters: Kerry Ryan, Tammy Tracy (Ernie), Rachel Southworth (Bob), Michelle Harding (Ron); six grandchildren, Katelyn Kosloski (Gary Sr.), Casandra Freeman (Jon), Ernest Tracy III, Samantha Tracy (Ryan), Andrea Picard (Sean), Alissa Picard (Nick); nine great-grandchildren, Robyn, Charlett, Gary Jr., Owain, Gracelyn, Annelise, Jameson, Ronin, Hayden, and Lucy; grand-pups: Finnie, Bella, and Jenny; special friends: Ed, Denise aka Stinker, Jean, and Diane, along with many loving extended family and friends of the two and four-legged kind.
Kathy’s girls extend a heartfelt thank you to those involved in her care. With a special extra thank you to those who lifted her spirits on trying days.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 2nd at the Westfield Evangelical Free Church, 568 Southwick Rd., Westfield.
