Kevin Haluch

Westfield – On February 24, 2017, Kevin Haluch, 54 of Westfield, concluded his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  He fought every step of the way, always keeping a positive outlook. He was a loving father who jumped at the chance to take part in his sons Eric and Shane’s lives. Kevin was the greatest father anyone could ask for.  He changed the lives of everyone he came in contact with whether it was coaching youth football, riding motorcycles and ATVs, BMX racing, attending car shows and working on cars. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.

He was the Biggest Kid in the Neighborhood. Kevin was always taking care of everyone like they were his own children. He was brilliant at everything he did. Kevin could figure out anything.  He was such a hard worker.  He spent 25+ years at Professional Drywall Corp. in West Springfield.  He was a graduate of West Springfield High School, Class of 1981.

He was the loving husband of 30 wonderful years to Alicia (Wilk) Haluch.  He leaves his two handsome sons and daughter-in-law Eric and Nicki, and Shane.  He leaves his mother Patricia (D’Orazio) Haluch, his brother Jeffrey and his wife Lisa, his two sisters, Laurie Clune and her husband Michael and Paula Phillips and her husband Brad. He also leaves many nephews and nieces.  Kevin was predeceased by his father Frederick Haluch. Kevin will be missed by his two biggest supporters – his cat Zip and his granddog Turbo. Dad, you always knew the right thing to do and you were our Rock, Superman and Guiding Light.  We love you so much! You are finally free of pain.  Watch over us until we meet again.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Kevin on Thursday, March 2, at 10 a.m.  in Holy Trinity Church in Westfield. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield from 4-7 pm.  Donations may be made to Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm Street, Westfield, MA 01085.
