WOODSTOCK, GA – Kevin Michael Stefanik, 39, formerly of Westfield passed away on September 10, 2012 in Woodstock, GA. He was born in Westfield on June 26, 1973, the son of Jacob and Patricia (Gallo) Stefanik of Westfield.
He attended Westfield schools, then continued his education at Springfield Technical College for a year then on to Southern Polytechnic State University in Marrietta, GA and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. He was employed by the Department of Transportation for the State of Atlanta, GA. He then moved on to Parsons Civil Engineering firm in Norcross, GA and for the last five years was working for Jacobs Engineering firm also known as JJ & G, Inc. While in Norcross, Kevin received many awards for his designs, just a few were The Truman Parkway Phase V in March of 2010 and from Mayor Reed of Atlanta for the new runway for the Atlanta International Airport. Kevin loved his work and met many, many friends and colleagues along the way. Kevin’s enjoyment outside of work was watching sports with friends, but his passion was playing golf. He won many tournaments.
Besides his loving parents, Jacob and Patricia (Gallo) Stefanik, he leaves his beloved daughter, Kayla Madison Stefanik; his adored sister, Audra Stefanik Wright and her two daughters, Amanda Mary and Amber Callie Wright of Woodstock, GA; his brother and buddy, Brian Scott Stefanik his wife, Sandra and their daughter, Ashley Stefanik of North Attleboro, MA. He also leaves uncles, aunts and many cousins.
Funeral services for Kevin were held in Woodstock, GA.
