WESTFIELD – Westfield’s fast start has been mired by a recent chill in the air.
The Lady Bombers’ struggles continued Thursday night in a 49-24 loss to the Central Golden Eagles.
Central, who led 16-5 after the first quarter, held Westfield to just one point in the second quarter. The Bombers fell to 2-4 as a two-game win streak to open the season has been followed now by four straight losses.
Sydney Ezold led Westfield with eight points.
Central’s Katrina Soto scored a game-high 12. The Golden Eagles improved to 3-4.

Monson 68, Southwick-Tolland Regional 37
Melissa O’Neill scored 13 points in a losing effort for Southwick. Katie Sweeney led Monson with 20.
“It was a tough crossover with a much more aggressive Bi-County Central team,” Southwick-Tolland coach Mike Gill said.
