Lawrence Dube

AGAWAM – Lawrence “Larry” Dube, a devoted father, proud grandfather, and Vietnam War veteran, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, in Agawam Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on April 25, 1942, in Worcester MA, Larry was the son of the late William Luke Dube and Ethel (Sharples) Dube. He lived a life defined by a deep devotion to those he loved. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.

Larry found joy in the simple things—long drives with no set destination, quiet hikes in nature, rounds of golf, and cheering on his beloved Boston sports teams.

He was the proud father of Pamela, Larry, and Chris, and a deeply loving grandfather to six grandsons, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. His family was his greatest treasure, and he never missed a chance to show how much they meant to him.

Larry was also a storyteller—one whose tales sparked laughter, curiosity, and sometimes a little disbelief. Whether he was the inventor of Chino pants, an early McDonald’s investor, or while working at Penn Station, a financial advisor to the 76ers, we may never know. But every story he told was shared with heart and a sparkle in his eye.

His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the stories we share and the memories we hold close. Firtionadams.com
