RUSSELL – Leslie G. Weidman, 68, of Russell died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in Boston Medical Center after a nine year battle with Scleroderma. He was born in Boston to Leslie and Jennie (Giuditta) Weidman.
Leslie graduated from Westfield High School in 1962 and from Springfield Technical Institute in 1966. He was employed as a mechanical engineer for Greytag Imaging, retiring in 2002. Leslie was a communicant of Holy Family Parish in Russell and enjoyed model railroading and photography.
He leaves his wife of eleven years, Kathleen V. (D’Avella) Weidman and two children, Anthony Weidman of Agawam and Maria Muskus and her husband Kris of Keene, NH. He also leaves three step children, Denise Mooney and her husband Larry and Mathew Benham all of Palmyra, NY and Shennen Benham of Los Angeles, CA and three grandchildren, Xavier and Rose Muskus and Tyler Mooney.
The funeral will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Holy Family Parish in Russell at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Russell Cemetery. Calling hours will
