WESTFIELD – Lester “Les” H. Eldridge, Sr., 81, (1941 – 2022) of Westfield, MA, passed away on June 1, 2022, at Renaissance Manor in Holyoke, MA.
Les was born on April 3, 1941, in Westfield, MA, to the late Lester William Eldridge and Cassaline B (Warner) Eldridge.
Les proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1962 – 1970 as a Technical Sargent working as a helicopter mechanic. He then joined the United States Air Force as a C-5 Crew Chief from 1970 – 1996. Les served during the Vietnam Era, Desert Storm, and Iraqi Freedom.
Les had worked as a mechanic at Fenton Garage in his earlier years. He was a member of First Congregational Church in Westfield, MA. Les was also a member of American Legion 124, Masons, Shriners, and the VFW.
Les enjoyed the time he spent restoring his trucks. He also enjoyed taking many Senior Day Trips with his companion Bonnie Miller, going to concerts, and out to eat.
Les is predeceased by his parents and his son Lester Eldridge. Survivors include his companion Bonnie Miller, his daughters Rosalind “Lindy” Eldridge-Nagle and Judy Davis and her husband Dan, his grandchildren: Erin, Jillayne, Brian, Josh, Christina, Dan Jr., and Adam, his daughter-in-law Lori Eldridge, his support dog Buddy, his 2 cats Frosty and Love Bug, along with many other family members and friends.

Family and Friends are invited to gather for a committal service with full military honors on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 3:00 PM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA.
