Time for a Thank You
On Wednesday, September 2, Stanley Park hosted the lighting of a permanent Perpetual light at the Veterans Circle of Honor. Many people from the community witnessed the ceremony honoring the many Veterans who served their country. This light will shine on them forever. There are many people to thank. Veterans who took part in this event as follows: Marines, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1847, American Legion Post 124, American Legion Post 454, Vietnam Veterans Chapter 219.
A special thank you to the Westfield G&E, Jane Wensley, Commissioner, Dana Bein, Operations, and Brian Butler, Utility Forman. Russell and Darlene Klaubert for their donation to upkeep the light and the area around it, and finally to the staff at Stanley Park, Wayne Moussette, Maintenance/Grounds Coordinator and the grounds crew at Stanley park. May the light shine upon all of them.
After the event, The Arbors at Westfield opened its doors for all the Veterans who attended the event at Stanley Park with an outside picnic and get together with the Veterans who live at the Arbors. I would like to thank Sondra Jones, Executive Director, Mary Argenio, Activities Director, and Michelle Johnson. Marketing Director. It was truly a day to remember.
