Letter: Westfield resident is Caregiver of the Month

To the Editor,

Visiting Angels of West Springfield is pleased to announce that Shannon Stork of Westfield has been named Caregiver of the Month for April 2021!

Shannon has been with Visiting Angels since November of 2019. She is one of our strongest caregivers who has eagerly taken on multiple clients and cases. Although many of her clients have posed unique and complex challenges, Shannon’s incredible problem-solving skills enable her to persevere and successfully navigate the situation. Currently, Shannon’s incredible dedication allows her to care for three clients who all require rather intensive care. Additionally, Shannon is willing to travel great distances when necessary in order to care for a person in need.

Shannon demonstrates both patience and compassion in her relationships with clients and other members of the Visiting Angels team. She thrives while working as a team member—no matter what the task is, it is always easy to do with Shannon by your side. For example, she is always willing to pick up shifts within a minute’s notice whenever possible in order to help out her fellow teammates. She displays exemplary communication and judgment skills; here at Visiting Angels, we know we can rely on Shannon to inform the office of any potential issues within the elder’s home that need to be addressed.

These words barely begin to describe Shannon’s outstanding performance and remarkable personality which make her a model caregiver for all the other Angels. She has an exemplary skill set and inspiring levels of dedication combined with the patience of a saint. We are so thankful at Visiting Angels for Shannon who has truly shown her commitment and fortitude as a caregiver. Her incredible quality of care and devotion to her clients is why she has been named Caregiver of the Month for April 2021. On behalf of the Visiting Angels team, congratulations to Shannon!
