HUNTINGTON – Littleville Elementary School continued its after-school mini-course program this year, and it’s most recent session ended on March 25. Programs ran from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, with parent pickup.
Offerings this session included board games and iPads, team building games, a YoYo club, basic woodworking tools and techniques, and fun in the sun, rain and snow (identifying animal tracks and other natural wonders on the Gateway grounds).
Parents and other students attended the YoYo club’s grand finale at the end of the session. While demonstrating tricks with yoyos and diabolos, the group lived their motto for the session: “Anyone can be cool, but awesome takes practice.”
Wooden trains, created in the woodworking session, were displayed in the foyer of the school.
The final session of mini-courses for this school year begins on April 22. Parents should watch for registration forms and program flyers in their red folders.
