Lois Girard

Westfield- Lois J. Beebe Girard, 70 (1948-2018) wife of 50 years to Dennis Girard, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 29, 2018. Lois was born in Springfield, a daughter of the late Robert Beebe and Theresa LaPointe Beebe; she was a resident of Westfield for 50 years. Lois retired from the Red Cross in Springfield where she was instrumental in coordinating blood drives. Previously, she worked in the field of education for the McKesson Corp. Her primary calling was that of a Registered Nurse. Beginning her career at bedside, she continued through managerial and critical care; having aided many patients through the years both at the Franklin Medical Center, Greenfield and also Baystate Noble Hospital, Westfield. She found great pleasure in her beautiful perennial garden, which she spent many hours tending with her husband Dennis. Her truest delight was watching the growth and successes of her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her twin sister Linda Mogue. In addition to her huband, Lois is survived by her two sons, Daren Girard and wife Lisa, of North Kingstown, R.I., Chad Girard and wife Cassandra, of Natick, MA; a daughter, Amie Girard-Ginnetti of Marlborough, MA; two brothers, Kenneth Beebe of Arkansas, Mark Beebe of Hawaii; 8 grandchildren, Jacqueline Girard, Hayden Ginnetti, Sophie Girard, Genevieve Girard, Theodore Girard, Jayce Ginnetti, Camden Ginnetti, Lane Ginnetti; along with extended family members.

The family will gather from 10:00AM – 12:00Noon, on Wednesday (Dec. 5, 2018) with a 12:00 Noon ceremony to follow in the Southwick Forastiere Family Funeral Home, 624 College Highway, Southwick.
