WESTFIELD: Lorraine M. Lemire Bryla, 86, died Friday, March 6th at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 10, 1928 to the late Theodore and Eva (Marcoullier) Lemire. She grew up in Becket and Westfield and was a graduate of the local High School in Becket. Lorraine’s whole life revolved around caring for her family. She was a faithful member of Word of Grace Church in Westfield and valued her church family. Lorraine was pre-deceased by her husband Benjamin M. Bryla, Sr. in 1994 and her daughter Kathryn Bryla in 1983. She leaves her children Marlene DeChristopher and her husband William of Fort Pierce, FL, Raymond Kehr, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Port St. Lucie, FL, Ronald Kehr and his wife Debra of Westfield, and Benjamin Bryla and his wife Andrea of Westfield. Lorraine also leaves 10 grandchildren, Regina Kelleher, Thomas Regan, Jr., Pamela Weber, Tricia Jackson, Raymond Kehr, Dylan Kehr, Kathryn Roberts, Lauren Williams, Stephen Bryla, and Hannah Bryla, as well as 13 great-grandchildren. She also leaves her brother Ronald Lemire of Sterling Heights, Michigan and her sister Lucille Avery of Huntington. The funeral for Lorraine will be held on Tuesday, March 10th at 11 am in the Word of Grace Church, 848 North Road, Westfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
