Louis F. Pietrogallo

WESTFIELD: flagLouis F. Pietrogallo, 88, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 19, 2015. He was born in Swampscott, MA to the late Frank and Theresa (Facciuto) Pietrogallo. Louis served his country with the United States Navy from 1944-1946 during WWII. He attained the rank of Seaman 1st Class and received the American Theatre Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He was employed by Advance Manufacturing Co. as a foreman for 30 years. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending his winters in Sarasota, FL. In his free time, Louis was an avid league bowler, golfer, bridge player and belonged to a cribbage club. He is survived by his beloved wife, Grace M. (Amanti) Pietrogallo of Westfield, his son Richard L. Pietrogallo, of Westfield, his daughter Susan Pietrogallo and her husband, Robert Haggett of Glastonbury, CT, his brother, Anthony Pietrogallo and his wife Phyllis of Middleton, MA, his three cherished grandchildren, Dana Haggett, Kelsey Haggett and Andrew Haggett. Louis is also survived by his brother-in-laws, Anthony Amanti and his wife Norma of Westfield, John Amanti and his wife Mary of Salem, MA, Vincent Amanti and his wife Mary Anne of Falmouth, MA and Charles Geleski of Sarasota, FL. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law Natalie Geleski and brother-in-law Gerald Amanti. He was a family man and leaves behind many nieces and nephews he adored. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:30 AM from the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 30 Bartlett St. Westfield. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Court St. Westfield, MA. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
