Lucille J. Krzykowski

SOUTHWICK – Lucille Jacquline Krzykowski, 78, (December 14, 1940 – April 17, 2019) of Southwick, MA passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, in the comfort of her own home. Lucille was born on December 14, 1940, in Holyoke, MA to Aurthor and Alice (Labonte) Doiron. Lucille attended Westfield Schools graduating from Westfield High School Class of 1958. She earned her degree as a Registered Nurse from Elms Nursing School, which set the path for her life-long passion. Lucille had worked as an R.N. at Western Massachusetts Hospital in Westfield, MA before finishing her career at Heritage Hall North in Agawam, MA. Her emotional stability, empathy, and respect for her patients created many personal attachments with those she cared for, especially her senior care patients. When Lucille was not practicing nursing she enjoyed many activities around her home and caring for her grandchildren. She was always ready to tackle a house remodel to put her own personal touch on her family home. She and her husband spent many fun-filled days remodeling their homes in Blandford and Southwick. Lucille had a very creative mind which shined in her crafting and sewing. She enjoyed spending time in the creating and caring for her gardens. Lucille is predeceased by her parents Aurthor and Alice Doiron, her son Gerry Proulx, her daughter Jacqueline Proulx, her brothers Aurthor Doiron and Ronald Doiron, and her sisters Denise Krick and Diane Rodriguez.

She leaves her husband Charles Krzykowski of Southwick, MA, her son Denis Proulx and his wife Lynn of Chester, MA, her daughters Angelique Proulx and her partner James Bennett of Granby, CT, Hope Krzykowski of Southwick, MA, and Aimee Krzykowski of Berlin, CT, her brother John Doiron and his wife Doris of Rome, NY, her sister Paulette Medlyn and her husband Dave of Pittsfield, MA, her 6 grandchildren: Michael Proulx, Alexandre Dlugoborski, Dominik Dlugoborski, Jakub Dlugoborski, Alynne Gallion, and Garrett Gallion, her sister-in-law Linda Doiron of Westfield, MA, along with other extended family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a period of visitation on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Avalon Life Celebration Center & Cremation Services, LLC 691 College Highway, Southwick, MA 01077. The family will have a private funeral and burial at a later date.
