Lucy (Biscoe) Fredette

WESTFIELD – Lucy (Biscoe) Fredette, 65, of Westfield, MA, passed away suddenly on June 24th, 2022.

Lucy was born on May 15th, 1957, to her late mother Dorothy Pidgeon and her father Alexander Biscoe in Springfield, MA. Lucy graduated from Southwick High School in 1975 where she was Vice President of her class. She spent years waitressing at Abdow’s and working in childcare. She later went on to work as a paraprofessional in the Westfield Public School system, as well as cashiering at Big Y where she touched the lives of many community members. She retired to become a full-time grandma.

Her dream was to live on the coast of Maine where she vacationed with her family often. She enjoyed backyard BBQs with family and friends and loved lounging by the pool with a good German beer or a tasty margarita. She loved watching professional football, especially the Patriots. Lucy adored babies and volunteered as a “cuddler” at Baystate NICU. Lucy was married to Edwin E. Fredette for nearly 25 years. She later went on to spend the remainder of her years with her adoring partner, Dennis Gallagher. Together they lived life to the fullest through live music and dancing their Friday nights away.

Lucy leaves behind her treasured family whom she loved more than anything. Lucy is survived by her three siblings, Lori Nowak and her husband Rick, James Biscoe and his wife Jamie, and Nia Gray. Lucy also leaves behind her three children, April Williams and her husband Tim, Nicki Fredette, and Eddie B. Fredette. She leaves her five beloved grandchildren, Melanie and her partner Ciara, Andie, Jakoby, Sophia and Ella. Finally, Lucy will be survived by countless family members, friends, acquaintances, colleagues, and individuals whose lives have been touched by Lucy in many ways.

A service celebrating Lucy’s life will be held Thursday, June 30th at 7:00 PM at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad St., Westfield. Calling hours will precede the service from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lucy’s name may be directed to the American Heart Association and the Baystate NICU through Baystate Health Foundation.
