Lucy Cogan

WESTFIELD: Lucy A. Cogan 84, Cresson, died May 14, 2015 at UPMC Altoona Emergency Room. Born December 13, 1930 in Elizabeth, daughter of the late Alfred Colian and Flora Caratielli Colian DelGrande. Preceded in death by husband Paul “Bill” Cogan Sr. on September 19, 1984, sister, Josephine “Josie” and her husband Charles “Chuck” Harris, brother, Albert Colian Sr., and Gentleman Friend, Robert G. Burgan. Survived by her children: Diana Weaver (Gary), Paul W. Jr. (Marilyn Sibis), and Tim (CindySmith) all of Cresson. She leaves her 5 grandchildren: James Sutton (Ali), Matthew Sutton, Paul W. Cogan lll (Kristen), Gina Snyder (Mark), and John F. Cogan (Jaime) Also her 4 great grandchildren: Chase, Samuel, Elle, and Emme. Sister in law: Dolores Colian Cresson. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her Gentleman Friend, Robert Burgan’s family. Lucy enjoyed ceramics. She worked in the treasurer’s office at Mount Aloysius College, Cresson, and retired in 1996 from Old Colony Envelope Factory, Westfield, Mass. Lucy volunteered at Altoona Hospital and served on the volunteer staff at St. Vincent DePaul Society, Cresson. Member of the Red Hat Society Crimson Curve, Catholic Daughters of America where she was Regent, Cresson American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and active member of St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Cresson, where she served on parish council and as a greeter and where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 Am Tuesday, Rev. Leo Arnone, celebrant. Committal, St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1688 Liberty St., Ashville, PA 16613 where a Vigil Service will be held Monday evening.        www.gibbonsfhashvillecoalport.com
