Luis Angel Ocasio

WESTFIELD: Luis Angel Ocasio, 55, (1966-2021) passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield and was a graduate of Westfield High School. He was employed for many years for B&E tool.

Family was everything to Angel, he loved spending time with them. He was also an avid softball player with the Park and Rec in Westfield for over 30 years, loved the Boston Red Sox, Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs.

Angel is survived by his beloved wife Elena (Luna) Ocasio, his loving children, Natali Ocasio, Luana Ocasio Mercado and Emilio Luis Ocasio, his three cherished grandchildren, Jiani Rijos, Jeremiah Luis Rijos and Mariaelena Mercado all of Westfield, his brother Jose Maldonado, Sr. and Betsy Velazquez of West Springfield and Manuel Jusino of Springfield. He was predeceased by his grandparents Luis Angel and Buenaventura Jusino and mother Juana Jusino, and six siblings.

Angel’s funeral will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 9AM from the Firtion Adams FS, 76 Broad St., Westfield, followed by a Mass at 10AM in St. Mary’s Church, Bartlett St., Westfield. Burial will follow the Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Southampton Rd., Westfield. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 3rd, from 4-7PM in the funeral home. Per Angel’s family, masks will be required for the services at both the funeral home and the church. Thank you.
