Mabel B. Siswick

Siswick Mabel11WESTFIELD – Mabel Blanche (Pritts) Siswick, 92, of Westfield died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Westfield. She was born in Westernport, Maryland on December 13 1920, one of ten children of Thomas Walter and Sarah Catherine (McIntyre) Pritts.
Mabel graduated from Nursing Training in 1938 as an RN and joined the Army Nurse Corp serving during WWII from 1943-1945. She was honorably discharged at the conclusion of the war with the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Mabel met and married her husband George Dudley Siswick, a 2nd Lieutenant Bombardier while in the service in 1945. George passed away in 1988. She worked at Noble Hospital for fourteen years as a 2nd shift supervisor.
Mabel leaves her son, Dale Siswick and his wife Joanne and their two children Heather of Southwick and Ashley of Brighton. She also leaves two grandchildren from her deceased son, Dudley Siswick who died in 2008, Morgan Mueller and her husband Mike and their two children Max and Tristan of San Francisco, CA. and Zachary Siswick and his wife Nicole of Natick and their son Asher. Zachary and Nicole are expecting their 2nd child in August. She was predeceased by her companion of seventeen years, Les Bienvenue who passed away in 2011.
Funeral with burial in Stafford Springs Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are omitted.
