Man found under I-90 bridge in Russell

RUSSELL – At approximately 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, a state police trooper on patrol from the Westfield barracks located an unoccupied Ford Sedan vehicle on I-90 at the Route 20 overpass in Russell, according to State Police Media Relations.

After stopping, the trooper saw an unresponsive male victim approximately 100 feet underneath the overpass.  State police, the district attorney’s office, crime scene technicians and the medical examiner responded.  Narcan was administered for an apparent drug overdose and the victim, a 20-year-old male from Blandford was transported to Baystate Noble.

According to State Police Media Relations, there was no evidence that he had jumped.  No further information on the condition of the victim was known as of Monday afternoon.
