Jimmy Cruz, 20, of 126 Union St., pleaded guilty to a charge of shoplifting by asportation brought by Westfield police and was assessed $50.
Andrew Hartley, 45, of 65 Kane Brothers Circle, was released on his personal recognizance pending a June 12 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation brought by Westfield police.
Kevin B. Ponti-Smith, 34, of 21 Gold St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for three months. He was assessed $50, found to be responsible for a charge of speeding in violation of special regulations and not responsible for a charge of operating a motor vehicle without a license in his possession.
Timothy R. Lafave, 26, of 11 Noble Ave., was enjoined from making any threats or violence when he was released on his personal recognizance after he was arraigned on a charge of larceny of a motor vehicle brought by Westfield police.

Patrick M. Holmes, 20, of, 70 Cliffwood St., Lee, was released on his personal recognizance pending a June 3 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and operating in the wrong direction on a state highway brought by Westfield police.
Zachariah D. Irwin, 22, of 69 Court St., was released on $200 cash bail after he was arraigned on a charge of receiving stolen property valued more than $250 brought by Westfield police.
Carlos Lorenzo, 46, of 7 Free St., was released on his personal recognizance pending a June 11 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of shoplifting by asportation and shoplifting merchandise value more than $100 by asportation brought by Westfield police.
Sarah Kennedy, 25, of 51 Van Deene Ave., West Springfield, was released on his personal recognizance pending a May 23 hearing after he was arraigned on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation brought by Westfield police.
Wilfred G. Gendreau, 54, of 1 School St., Chester, was released on $2,500 personal surety after he was arraigned on a charge of assault and battery brought by State Police.
Yelena Kostyushko, 32, of 177 Meadow St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of breaking and entering a building in the daytime with intent to commit a felony brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for 11 months. She was assessed $90 and Judge Philip A. Contant ordered that any violation of probation would result in a guilty finding and jail time. Kostyushko also pleaded guilty to two charge of improper use of a credit card valued less than $250 and a charge of allowing improper use of a credit card valued less than $250 and was sentenced to three concurrent 11 month terms in the house of correction, with credit of time served awaiting trail. He ordered that six months of the terms be served direct with the balance suspended with probation until Feb. 27, 2015. She was ordered to pay $530 in restitution. In a second case also brought by Westfield police, Kostyushko submitted to facts sufficient to warrant guilty findings for five charges of uttering a false check and a charge of larceny of property valued more than $250 by a single scheme and the charges were continued without a finding with probation for 11 months. She was assessed $95. In a third case also brought by Westfield police, Kostyushko pleaded guilty to 12 charges of improper use of a credit card and a singe charge of receiving a stolen credit card and was sentenced to 13 six month terms to be served concurrently with the term imposed in the first of the three cases.
Elizabeth L. O’Brien, 37, of 42 Arnold St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of being present where heroin is kept brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for three months. She was assessed $50 and a charge of possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute was not prosecuted.
Elizabeth L. O’Brien, 37, of 42 Arnold St., submitted to facts sufficient to warrant a guilty finding for a charge of being present where heroin is kept brought by Westfield police and the charge was continued without a finding with probation for three months. She was assessed $50 and a charge of possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute was not prosecuted.
