Marcelle Mignerey

MignereyHOLYOKE  – Marcelle Mignerey left us on July 22, 2013 to fly freely with birds in the great beyond. Marcelle lived a long, lovely life asking little along the path.
She lived most of her life in Holyoke, graduating from high school and working as a bookkeeper for her dad’s automotive business and at Steiger’s as a salesperson for women’s clothing. Marcelle was a devoted daughter, nature lover and consummate seamstress. She admired honesty and simplicity.  Marcelle marveled at the unfolding of each day. Her admiration for all species of animals was palpable. Marcelle loved all things French. She enjoyed most of her adult life near and dear to water and wildlife.
Marcelle is survived by her beloved sister, Florence Kridler of Mifflinburg, PA and her nephew, Robert Kridler of San Francisco. She is also survived by a large community of friends and care givers who were her family of choice. Marcelle was predeceased by her parents, Roland and Maria Mignerey, and her brother-in-law (Florence’s husband) Harvey Kridler.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date. Marcelle would appreciate donations to Pug Rescue of New England www.pugrescueofnewengland.org or to Tina Fareti – Activities Fund c/o The Governor’s Center, 66 Broad Street, Westfield MA 01085.
