WESTFIELD – Marilyn T. (Ellis) Breor, 89, (1933 – 2023) passed away on April 3, 2023 at her home in Westfield, MA surrounded by family. She was born in Springfield, MA to the late William and Ada Ellis. She graduated from High School of Commerce in 1951 and later earned associate degrees in Secretarial Science and Business Administration from Springfield Technical Community College. She was married for nearly 53 years to the late Robert F. Breor who passed in 2009. Marilyn held careers at the Westfield School Department and later for the U.S. Postal Service until her retirement.
She was predeceased by brother George Ellis and sister Elizabeth McNerney.
She is survived by her brother William Ellis, sisters Barbara Schniekart, Patricia Cianci, Deborah Bottone, and her three children: Deborah Tighe of Holyoke, MA, Karen Lake and her husband Chip of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Tricia Glenzel and her husband Mike of Westfield, MA. She will be missed by her grandchildren: Robert, David and Rachel, Brian and Jen, Ricky and Natalia, Evan, Thea, Drew, Katie, Joe and Lauren, Tommy, and great-grandchildren: Adrianna, Aiden, Ashton, Matthew, James, Ryan, Charlie, Lylah and Chinelle.
Marilyn had a love for family and life; enjoying many hobbies: sewing, tennis, golf, theatre, exercise, travel, bridge, and her beloved dogs.
Service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1365 Enfield Street, Enfield, CT 06082.
