WESTFIELD: Mary E. (Noble) Champagne, 89, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in a local nursing home. She was born in Westfield on August 16, 1925 to the late Terry and Mary Jane (Drake) Noble. She grew up in Westfield and attended local schools. She was a graduate of the EMT Course at S.T.C.C. She worked at Robinson Reminder in Westfield as a machine operator and also worked at the Crisis/Respite Center at the Carson Center in Westfield. Mary was a member of the group who founded the Free Street Homeless Shelter and served on the Board of Directors. She was a member of the Westfield Alliance church in Westfield. She leaves her children Alberta M. Humason and her husband Donald Sr. of Westfield, Laurie E. Sharples and her husband David of Westfield. Mary also leaves her grandchildren Senator Donald Humason Jr. and his wife Janice of Westfield, Apryl Sheldon and her husband Henry of Corral Springs, FL and Shanna Sharples and her husband John Avery of Westfield, her great-grandchildren Jonathan Avery Jr, Becky L. Avery, Robert David Avery, Quinn Humason, Julia Sheldon, and Mason Sheldon. A memorial service will be held on Saturday December 20th at 10 am in the Westfield Alliance Church, 297 Russell Road, Westfield, MA 01085.
