Mary A. Hoynoski

WEST SPRINGFIELD:  Mary Ann (Michela) Hoynoski, 93, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on November 10, 2014 at Wingate of West Springfield. She was born in Springfield on August 15, 1921 to the late John and Laura (Giolitto) Michela. She attended Cathedral High School in Springfield. Mary was a strong, loving, goodhearted woman who was devoted to her family and made them the center of her life. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 34 years, Chester A. Hoynoski, Sr. who passed in 1976; her grandson, Gregory Hoynoski; her brother, John Michela; and her sisters, Madeline Deveno, Josephine Lord and Stella Brent. She leaves her 3 sons, Chester A. Hoynoski, Jr. and his wife Linda of Westfield, Anthony Hoynoski of Ware, and John Hoynoski and his wife Laurel of Windsor Locks, CT; her daughter, Laura Lewis of Columbus, OH; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister Anna Hamel of Fort Meyers, FL. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, November 16th from 3-7PM at Forastiere Funeral Home, 45 Locust St., Springfield. Mary’s funeral will be held on Monday, November 17th from the funeral home at 9:30AM followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, West Springfield at 11AM. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice, P.O.
