Mary Jane Stec

Westfield – Mary Jane (Dusza) Stec, 81, of Westfield passed away at home peacefully on January 30, 2018 surrounded by her devoted family. She was born in Palmer, MA and lived in the village of Bondsville. She attended local schools and was a 1954 graduate of Palmer High School. She was the daughter of the late Emily and John Dusza. She married her late husband, Fred and moved to Westfield in 1962. They were married for 45 loving years. Mary Jane had many talents among them, cooking and baking. She made and decorated wedding cakes for 25 years. She enjoyed watching sports especially the Red Sox and Patriots. She loved traveling to Europe, Hawaii, but especially to her family in S.C. She volunteered in Holy Trinity Church and school and Westfield schools for many years. She was employed at Monarch Valve and Chalmers and Kubeck and retired after 20 years. She was pre-deceased by her best friend and loving husband Fred, and her brother John P. Dusza. She is survived by her sons Paul and his wife Amanda, Christopher and his wife Amor all of South Carolina, her loving grandson Stephen, the apple of her eye and many nieces, nephews and cousins scattered across the country, her neighbors and best friends. Her smile will be missed by everyone who knew her. The funeral for Mary Jane will be held on Tuesday February 6th at 9:00 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Trinity Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 pm.
