Westfield – Mary Rose Dyke – 93, (1924 – 2017) our beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully Friday, November 24, 2017. Mary was born January 5, 1924 in St. Johnsbury, VT to the late Philip and Jenny (Ohern) LaLiberte. Mary grew up in St. Johnsbury, VT and later moved to Westfield since 1962. She worked for Western Mass. Hospital in the kitchen for many years. She loved to do embroidery, cooking and gardening. She was a very proud and strong woman. She enjoyed taking care of her grandson Bradley. Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Francis Dyke in 1987, her son Raymond Austin in 1967, and her siblings Anna, Irene, Paul, Roland and Leo. Mary is survived by her children Carol Lemoine of VT and David Austin of Southwick and her daughter-in-law Alyson Stone. She was the cherished grandmother to Bradley, John, Joe, Beatrice and Jennie Lynn,13 great grand children and 2 great great grandchildren. Calling hours for Mary will be Thursday, November 30 from 9:30am – 11:00am at Westfield Funeral Home and Cremation, 4 Princeton Street in Westfield, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westfield.
