Michael Fenton

WESTFIELD: flagMichael Dean Fenton, 69, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Noble Hospital. He was born in Union Township, Iowa to the late Russell and Frances (Barker) Fenton. He served his country as a Navy Corpsman with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1965-1969. After leaving the service and moving to New England, he worked as a dental technician and owned and operated Fenton Dental Lab. Known by most of his friends as “Mike”, he was a generous, fun-loving man whose smile and hearty laugh lit-up any room. He was a loyal friend and an incredible father. He adored the game of golf; the Iowa Hawkeyes, the St. Louis Cardinals; the Washington Redskins and a good “Jack and Seven.” He enjoyed spending time in Florida; Sunday breakfasts at Southwick Country Club; his Monday night card games; and any opportunity to make someone laugh or smile. Mike is survived by his daughter, Abby Paige Fenton of Washington, D.C., his step-daughter Roxanne Black of Westfield, his step sons Robert Black of Westfield and Dwayne Black of West Springfield, a brother Craig Fenton; 3 step grandchildren and his partner Dianna Dexter of Westfield, MA. Visiting hours for Michael will be held on Tuesday, March 24th from 11-2 PM in the Firtion Adam FS, 76 Broad St. Westfield with burial with Military Honors to follow at 3PM in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam.
