Westfield-Michael Pease, 59, died Friday, September 9, 2016 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Westfield on February 9, 1957 attended local schools and was a lifelong resident. He worked for Savage Arms for 25 years as a master gunsmith. Mike enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating and hitting balls with a golf club. He loved spending time in his yard and garage, driving his tractor to feed and take movies of all his animals. Michael was the type of person that everyone loved and enjoyed being around. He will be greatly missed. He was a former member of the Eagles Club. Mike leaves his wife of 35 years Carole (Mercier) Pease his kids Foxy and Bella, his mother Jennie (Zelez) Pease, his brother Thomas Pease, his sister Susan Gregory, his mother-in-law Florine Mercier all of Westfield. He also leaves sisters and brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was pre-deceased by his father Roy Pease and two brothers Steven and Jeffrey Pease.
The funeral for Mike will be held on Wednesday September 14th at 9 a.m. from the Firtion-Adams funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Road at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. till 8 p.m. Donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Westfield Homeless Cat Project, 1124 East Mountain Road, Westfield, MA 01085.
