WESTFIELD – Nanci C. Bergmann of Westfield, MA was born in the Chicago suburbs in March of 1930. She departed this life on April 1, 2015, at the age of 85. A talented artist, she received degrees from both Stephens College in Columbia, MO and The Art Institute of Chicago. After moving to Westfield, she went to work for the Westfield News. Upon retirement she became an active community volunteer with service to the Westfield Council on Aging where she taught writing and computer courses at the Senior Center, to a local hospice group, and as a member of the Westfield Alliance Church’s Gospel Singers. She is survived by her three children, Mary Collins, Carol Collins, and Robert Collins, Jr., their spouses, grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her sisters, granddaughter Melissa, and her husband of 27 years, B. Bradleigh Bergmann. Services will be held on Monday, April 20th at 10:30 AM in the Westfield Alliance Church in Westfield, MA. Memorial donations may be made to Homeward Vets Inc. (P.O.
