WESTFIELD – Nancy C. (Slater) Blair, 72, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2012. She was a lifelong Westfield resident, born on January 20, 1940, a daughter of the late Raymond and Pansy (LaBombard) Slater.
She attended local schools and was a graduate of Westfield High School. Nancy was previously employed at Avery Dennison for many years. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, playing cards, board games, and cooking.
She is survived by her two beloved sons, Craig Blair and Richard Blair, Jr., and sister, Betty Allen all of Westfield. She will be sadly missed by two grandchildren, Jessica Blair of Chicopee, and Ryan Blair of Westfield and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her daughter in law, Michelle Blair; three step brothers, David Edwards and his wife Donna, William Edwards, and Albert Edwards, Jr., and her former husband, Richard B. Blair, Sr., and canine companions, Jewel and Curious George. She was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Scott Blair on December 25, 1985.
