Blandford—Nancy A. (Whitaker) Shepard, 77, of Blandford died Friday in Noble Hospital. She was born in Huntington on August 25, 1937, the daughter of the late Wendell C. and Ethel M. (Brousseau) Whitaker. She was a graduate of Chester High School, and has lived in Blandford the last fifty years. Nancy delivered mail and was employed at the Travel Plaza in Blandford for many years, retiring in 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-four years, Robert, a son, Erwin of Blandford, and two daughters, Kristen Shepard of Worcester and Laurel Benoit Dean of North Clarendon, VT. Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Rodney Whitaker, and her sister, Shirley (Whitaker) Rida. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 1PM at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad St., Westfield. Calling hours will precede the funeral on Friday from 11AM until 1PM.
