WESTFIELD – Jake Corcoran scored four goals – two shorthanded efforts – including the game-winner to rally Mt. Everett past St. Mary early Monday, 6-5, at Amelia Park Ice Arena.
Andrew Booth tallied a hat trick for St. Mary. Saints’ Jonathan Spear finished with one goal and three assists, and Ryan Gendron had three assists.
“Your have to give credit to Jake Corcoran – he is a great player,” Southwick coach Don Goodreau said. “We didn’t have the ability to stop him today. He just put Mount Everett on his shoulders and helped them win the game.”
“We competed, but penalties hurt us again.”
In other games, the Cathedral Panthers (WHS Co-Op) girls’ ice hockey team defeated Boston Latin, 6-3.
