Southwick’s McKenna Leavy (32) slashes through the lane against the McCann Tech “D.”

SOUTHWICK – The Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional High School girls’ basketball team put on a clinic, and it was a fan-friendly affair.
Southwick raced out to a commanding early lead and cruised to a 55-13 win over visiting McCann Tech Monday night.
McKenzie Sullivan (12 points) and Morgan Harriman (10) reached double digits for Southwick. The Rams limited their opponent’s leading scorer to just four.
“We finally got back to playing our brand of basketball,” Southwick assistant coach Rick Harriman said. “We tried to get out quick. That was the key for us.”
Southwick (8-2) will look to get off to a good start again when the Rams host the Ware Indians Thursday at 7 p.m.
In junior varsity action, Southwick’s McKenna Leary (8 points) led the Rams to a 30-12 thrashing.
