WESTFIELD – The New England Futbol Club West Elite’s girls soccer team garnered a bit of national treasure on a business trip across the country.
The West Elite team finished third, nabbing bronze medals in a national competition in Denver, Colorado. This came on the heels of an unbeaten 8-0 run through the New England Premiership.
The West Elite team, led by Westfield High School’s Emma Pedolzky, Megan Alvarado, Saige Smith, and Chandler Pedolzky, scored four goals and allowed just one. The team is based out of Westfield at Roots Soccer League, and coached by Lauren Aldred.
