Westfield – Nellie R. (Camerota) Masciadrelli, 95, died Saturday, January 13, 2018 in a local nursing home, after a short illness. She was born on March 25, 1922 in Westfield to the late Patrick and Rose (Pappa) Camerota. Nellie attended St. Mary’s School and worked at the American Bosch during WWII and was a cashier for the former A&P supermarket in Westfield for 23 years retiring in 1986. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church, was an avid bingo player, enjoyed reading, cooking and loved crocheting and made many afghans for her family. She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years Raymond “Paul” Masciadrelli in 2004. Nellie leaves her children Paul “Skip” Masciadrelli (Sally), Mark Masciadrelli, Joan Czarnecki and Carol Burke (Jeff) all of Westfield, her grandchildren Lynn Grant (Russell), Joseph Czarnecki (Sharon), Richard Czarnecki (Lori), John Masciadrelli (Tina), Marisa Masciadrelli, Angela Marsh (Frank), Dr. Shanna Burke and Jeffrey Burke and fiancée Mary. Nellie also leaves her great-grandchildren Joseph and Christian “C.J.” Czarnecki, Evan Grant, Gianna and Michaela Masciadrelli , Jacob and Sophie Czarnecki and Leilani Marsh. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Michael Camerota, John Camerota, Ralph Camerota and Patrick Camerota, her sister Lucy Mastello-Mangini, her son-in-law Joseph Czarnecki and her great-grandchildren Madilyn and Emma Grant. At Nellie’s request the funeral and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
