WESTFIELD: Nicholas Dalesandro Jr., 54, died Sunday, April 26, 2015 at home. He was born in Westfield on December 6, 1960. He grew up in Chester and was a 1978 graduate of Gateway High School. Nick was an employee of Westfield State University for the past 37 years. He enjoyed traveling with his many friends and was a member of the Westfield Elks Club. He leaves his sons Anthony Dalesandro of Virginia and Andrew Dalesandro of West Warren, his sister-sister Judith Dalesandro of Chester, his mother Mary (Lopresto) Dalesandro of Chester, his grandchildren Bryan, Josh, Aiden, Ashton, Emilee and Elizabeth. He also leaves his aunt Anna Rheaume of Chester and many cousins. He was pre-deceased by his father Nicholas Dalesandro Sr. in 2002.
The funeral for Nick will be held on Friday May 1st at 9:00 am from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by A Liturgy of Christian Burial in Holy Family Parish, 5 Main Street, Russell at 10 am. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Nick may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
