WESTFIELD- The owners of Flowers by Webster on Court Street discovered that their property had been vandalized by a BB gun sometime during the night of Saturday, Nov. 17.

The following morning, Nov. 18, Chuck Kelly, husband of owner Gail Kelly, discovered the windshield of a company vehicle had been shot 14 times by what he believed to have been a BB gun.

“I went out the next day on the 19th and saw that the side paneling and windows of the building had also been shot,” said Chuck Kelly.

There was visible damage to the side of the building and several cracks in every window on the west side of the property. There were also what appeared to be leftover metal BB’s lodged in two of the windows. Police responded to both calls but at this time there are no suspects. However, the perpetrator is believed to be in the area.

“The damage is estimated to be between 10 and 15 thousand dollars,” said Kelly, “The damage to the side of the house seems small but we need to replace the whole side. That doesn’t include the cost of the damage to the vehicle.”
