LYNN – Tyler MacGregor went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Dominic Freeberger doubled and scored a run, and Joseph Kalafut and Louis Olivieri scored one run apiece as the North Shore Navigators slipped past the Westfield Starfires 3-1 Friday night at Fraser Field.
Westfield outslugged North Shore 10-7 in the hits column, but committed two errors in the field. Sean Murphy, Thomas Joyce, and Tommy Quinn (RBI) each went 2-for-4 to lead the Starfires.
Andrew Ciacciarelli and Christian Walsh (run) each doubled for Westfield (4-10). The North Shore Navigators improved to 9-3.
Westfield returns to action Saturday at Nashua.
