EASTHAMPTON — It truly is shaping up as a merry holiday season this year as major colleges and universities and local student-athletes continue to spread good cheer.
Williston-Northampton School’s Campbell Nyarady is the latest athlete from the Whip City to ink a major deal, signing a National Letter of Intent to play women’s lacrosse for Quinnipiac University’s Division I Bobcats.
Nyarady excelled at Williston last season, finishing with 34 goals and eight assists.
“Campbell is the quintessential college-bound student-athlete,” Williston-Northampton girls lacrosse head coach Charlie Lonergan said. “She eats, sleeps, and breathes lacrosse, which has turned her into the player she is today and will certainly pave the way for her future success.”
Nyarady was one of seven Williston students to sign on with collegiate athletic programs at the Division I and II levels.
“(Campbell) loves to play the game, and this is apparent in everything that she does on the field,” Lonergan said. “She’s a hard-working player, and she has played a major role in the past and future success of the girls lacrosse program at Williston.”
