WESTFIELD – A head-on collision claimed a man’s life on Christmas eve.
Police were called to Springfield Road (Route 20) east of East Mountain Road at 6:31 p.m. Thursday night, according to Westfield police.
Police are not releasing the name of the dead man.
Two people from the other vehicle were transported to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and are expected to be ok, police said.
Route 20 was closed for more than three hours following the deadly collision.
The Massachusetts State Police and Westfield Police Traffic Bureau are still working to determine the cause of the crash.
