WESTFIELD – Patricia E. (Tyrell) Cyr, 61, of Westfield died Monday, August 20, 2012 along with her husband Daniel. She was born in Springfield on January 4, 1951 to Francis and Vivianne (Mougin) Tyrell and has lived in Westfield since 1973.Prior to her retirement Pat was employed as the Vice President of Finance at United Bank in West Springfield. She was a devoted friend and card player and enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves a son, James Cyr and his wife Tracy of Holyoke, and two daughters, Tanya Wheeler and her husband Charles of Westfield and Miranda Landry and her husband Keith of West Springfield along with her grandchildren, Katelyn Wheeler, Kenneth and Garrett Dejordy, Kyle and Sydney Cyr and Mya and Kaden Landry and many nieces and nephews. Pat also leaves five brothers, Jack Tyrell and his wife June of Springfield, Ronald Tyrell and his wife Joan of Pittsfield, NH, Bobby Tyrell and his wife Carla of Agawam, Richard and his wife Pat of Springfield and Thomas Tyrell of Belchertown and six sisters, Joan Thomas and her husband Dick of Poultney, VT, Marlene Conlin and her husband Buzz of Monson, Carol Dolan and her husband Rodney of Springfield, Barbara Kelleher and her husband Joe of Springfield, Dorothy LeBlanc of Poultney, VT. and Connie Feuerstein and her husband Jeff of Springfield and dear friends Carol Krause and Kim Clark. Pat was predeceased by a sister Ann Arment.
The funeral will be Friday August 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. Burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations in Pat and Daniel’s memory be made to the Down Syndrome Resource Group of Western MA, 220 Brookdale Drive, Springfield, MA 01104 or to the Forest Park Zoo, 302 Sumner Avenue, Springfield, MA 01108.
