Patrick J. Healy

WESTFIELD – Patrick J. Healy, 61, died Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at home. He was born in Holyoke on August 19, 1955 to Bernard and Marina (Barrett) Healy. He grew up in Holyoke attended local schools and was a 1973 graduate of Holyoke High School. He attended Holyoke Community College and was a graduate of UMASS Amherst in 1978. He was a manager in program development for National Safety Council for 25 years. Patrick owned PJ Healy Co. for 10 years and was a partner in the Subway Sandwich Shop in Southwick for many years. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.He was active in the Westfield Little League and founded the Westfield Amateur Baseball Association.

Patrick was pre-deceased by his wife Margaret (Suszenski) Healy on May 18, 2000. He leaves his sons Patrick J. Healy Jr. and his wife Karen Miele of Franklin, and Brendan J. Healy of Westfield, his mother Marina Healy of Holyoke, his siblings Francis X. Healy and his wife Gloria of Newburyport, Bernard P. Healy and his wife Mary of Holyoke, and Anne Tucker and her husband Thomas of Holyoke and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father Bernard Healy, his sister Marina Healy and his godfather Father John Varley.

The funeral for Patrick will be held on Thursday at 10 am from Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church. Burial will be private. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held on Wednesday from 4-7.
