WESTFIELD: Phyllis Brainard, 93, (1927-2021) of Westfield, MA, died peacefully on July 9, 2021 at Heritage Hall East in Agawam. Phyllis was born November 16, 1927 in Springfield, MA to Margaret Mahoney and Ross Madison. She was a loving wife and Aunt. She loved her church family at Central Baptist Church in Westfield, MA and was a former Deacon and greeter at the church. She also delivered Meals on Wheels for many years along with her friend Mabel. She never had children of her own but was a loving Aunt to her two nieces and one nephew.
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Lionel Brainard and her sister Loyce and husband Harry Wackter. She is survived by her nieces Susan (Rick) Freschner and daughter Kimberly Garofolo, Sherry Cowles and daughter Jacey (Tim) Shumaker and children Carsen and Rowan, and her nephew David (Rolanda) Wackter.
She will be laid to rest on Wednesday, July 21 at 1:30PM in Pine Hill Cemetery, Westfield, MA. Firtion Adams Funeral Home of Westfield is in charge of arrangements.
