1:31 a.m.: found property, Westfield Middle School North, 350 Southampton Road, a patrol officer reports finding a bicycle at the school, the bike was transported to the station for safe keeping;
1:27 a.m.: disturbance, Elm Street, a patrol officer reports he observed persons whose attention was directed toward an Elm Street parking lot and investigated to discover “an all out brawl”, the officer reports he ordered the participants to the ground but two continued to throw punches at each other until physically separated, the officer reports he learned that a group of Westfield State University students said that one of their group had been involved in an altercation with a male party inside a bar and as they were leaved that person and about five others “jumped” them, the WSU students identified one of the participants as a leader of the assault, Adam Baldassarre, 23, of 1181 Russell Road, and John M. Stone Jr., 22, of 28 Taylor Ave., were each arrested for disorderly conduct and assault and battery, Raymond Frank Teece, 25, of 40 Montgomery St., was arrested for disorderly conduct and during the booking process was discovered to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine, he was also charged with possession of a Class B substance;
3:33 a.m.: assist other police department, Westfield State University, 577 Western Ave., WSU police request the use of a cell for a person under arrest, a cell monitor was provided;
9:48 a.m.: fire, Woodsong Road, a caller from Hampton Village reports smoke for a brush fire in the area is aggravating her asthma, the responding fire captain reports the responsible resident agreed to extinguish the fire;
11:09 a.m.: traffic violation, Russell Road at Kelsey Terrace, a patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports a criminal complaint was filed for traffic infractions, two occupants were provided courtesy transport to a Western Avenue address and the vehicle was released to the owner;
2:21 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Southampton Road, a patrol office reports he discovered a vehicle with registration revoked for lack of insurance, the registration plates were seized;
2:45 p.m.: harassment, Russellville Road, a resident came to the station to report harassment, the responding officer reports the complainant made a similar complaint two days previously and said that text messages have been received from an unknown number which are apparently in reference to the caller’s boyfriend’s former girlfriend, the officer reports he was not able to contact anybody at the offending number and the complainant was advised to block the number;
3:52 p.m.: harassment, East Silver St., a resident came to the station to report that his 11-year-old daughter has been receiving harassing text messages which call her a bully, the man told the officer that his daughter has been working with school officials to resolve issues at school, the officer reports he was unable to contact anybody at the offending phone number;
4:25 p.m.: larceny, Main Street, an off duty Springfield College police officer reports he is following a male party he observed shoplifting at a supermarket, the responding officer reports the caller pointed out a known male party with a bag from the store in question, the officer questioned the man who, after dissembling, eventually admitted stealing from the store, merchandise valued at almost $25 was recovered, Steven J. Nikkiel, 37, of 8 Conner Ave., was arrested for shoplifting by concealing merchandise;
7:04 p.m.: vandalism, East Main Street, a patrol officer reports that graffiti was found to have been spray painted on the rear wall of a store in the Westgate Plaza;
8:01 p.m.: fire, Spring Street, a caller reports a large bonfire with a great deal of smoke, flames and embers ,the responding fire captain reports the fire was extinguished;
11:58 p.m.: disturbance, Powdermill Village, 126 Union St., a caller reports after a verbal argument with her husband the man intentionally broke a window as he was leaving, the responding officer reports that the caller’s mother, the tenant, said that she would pay for the necessary repair;

2:17 a.m.: disturbance, North Elm Street, a caller from a North Elm Street fast food restaurant reports that a customer at the drive up window threw a glass bottle into the parking lot, the respond officer reports a routine check revealed that one of the occupants of the suspect vehicle was found to be the subject of an outstanding warrant, Carrie Ann Kirk, 41, of 48 Rutledge Ave., Springfield, was arrested on the warrant;
9:52 a.m.: trespassing, Pioneer Valley Railroad, Depot Square, a caller reports a male party is walking near train tracks, the responding officer reports the suspect was found and a routine check revealed him to be the subject of two outstanding warrants, Joseph A. Larriu, 35, of 15 Parker Ave., was arrested on the two warrants;
12:01 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Franklin Street at Elm Street, a traffic enforcement officer reports a traffic stop, the operator’s license was found to be suspended and a criminal complaint was filed, the owner of the vehicle was properly licensed and took control of it;
12:02 p.m.: fire, Montgomery Street, a caller reports an uncontained fire in a neighbor’s back yard, the responding firefighters report the fie had been extinguished prior to their arrival;
12:15 p.m.: identity fraud, Franklin Street, a resident came to the station to report that she attempted to file her taxes but her return was rejected because her personal information had already been used to file a return and receive a refund, a report was filed to document the complaint;
1:43 p.m.: fire, Massachusetts Turnpike, state police request assistance with a brush fire on the turnpike, the responding firefighters report a grass fire extending for about 50 feet in the median was extinguished with foam;
3:30 p.m.: fire, Lockhouse Road, a caller reports a brush fire nearby, the responding fire captain reports that the burning was found to be legal and the resident will continue to monitor the fire as it burns out;
5:44 p.m.: disturbance, Katharine Street, a caller reports his adult son shoved him during an argument, the responding officer reports the caller said that during an argument his son pushed him against the wall and his girlfriend had to drag him away, the officer reports the suspect said that he didn’t remember if he pushed his father during the argument but his girlfriend supported the victim’s account, the officer reports that although the argument involved issues about procuring liquor there were no signs that either party had been drinking alcohol, Robert Deyette III, 23, of 55 Katharine St., was arrested for assault and battery in a domestic relationship;
6:21 p.m.: assist citizen, Hancock Street, a resident came to the station to complain about anonymous notes and letters that have been left at his residence criticizing his treatment of his dog, the animal control officer was notified of the issue;
8:03 p.m.: fire, Hampton Ponds State Park, a caller reports an area near the boat ramp is on fire, a responding keyholder reports persons having a cookout on the beach;
9:00 p.m.: liquor law violations, East Main Street, a caller reports a number of person who appears to be much younger than the legal drinking age are consuming alcohol at an East Main Street restaurant, the responding officer reports two parties of youths who appeared to be too young to be served liquor were seen drinking and when he investigated he found that none were of legal drinking age and were as young as 17 years-old, one person claimed to be sober and, when she was tested and found to have zero blood alcohol, she was allowed to drive the members of her party home, the members of the second group called their parents for rides home, the officer reports criminal complaints were filed against nine persons.
