12:39 a.m.: Disturbance, School Street. Police received a report from an establishment on School Street that several people were allegedly “highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance.” Police were also told that the group was asked to leave the premises and did not do so at the time, but allegedly threatened the manager on scene. The group reportedly eventually left, and police reported that they were found at an establishment on Arnold Street. Police eventually arrested Jason R. Beaumier, 46, of Westfield, after they reported that he had been accused of displaying a knife in a menacing manner during the initial disturbance. Police charged Beaumier of assault with a dangerous weapon.

2:58 a.m.: Accident, Atwater Street and Parker Avenue. Police received a report of a single-vehicle crash involving a light pole. Police reported that the driver had allegedly fell asleep at the wheel prior to the crash. One person was transported to Baystate Noble Hospital via ambulance and the vehicle was towed.

5:37 p.m.: Traffic or motor vehicle complaint and arrest, Western Avenue. Police received a report of a vehicle that had allegedly driven off the roadway and over “the lawns of a few residences.” Police were also given a license plate number and description of the vehicle in question. Police then received a report of the vehicle pulling into a driveway on Western Avenue. Police arrived and reported that the driver, Benedict A. Mazzoni, 60, of Woronoco, reportedly had obvious signs of impairment, and also reported that Mazzoni had allegedly drank alcohol while taking a medication. Police arrested Mazzoni and charged him with operating under the influence of liquor, operating under the influence of drugs and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

7:47 p.m.: Accident, Bates Road. Police received a report of a dirt bike that was reportedly struck by a car. When the dirt bike rider was told that the police would be called following the accident, they had allegedly fled the scene. No further information was reported.
