9:50 a.m.: found property, Pleasant Street, a caller reports a hypodermic needle was seen on Pleasant Street, the responding officer report the needle was safely disposed of;
11:06 a.m.: forgery, Elm Street, a caller from an Elm Street pharmacy reports a fraudulent prescription was presented, the responding officer reports the pharmacy technician said that a man brought in a prescription for a pain reliever which was written for a female patient and the prescription was not filled, the customer left with the prescription but the technician said that she had copied it and the man’s identification, the technician said that further inspection revealed the prescription to be fraudulent, the case was referred to the Detective Bureau;
12:11 p.m.: animal complaint, Meadow Brook Lane, a caller reports a neighbor’s dog rushed at her children, the responding officer reports that the children said that the dog had broken through its electronic fence, the dog’s owner said that the children had been teasing the dog before it crossed the electronic barrier, the case was referred to the animal control officer;
2:55 p.m.: animal complaint, Southgate Avenue, a caller reports a skunk is abroad in the daytime and is acting oddly, the responding officer reports the skunk was dispatched;
5:59 p.m.: animal complaint, Laro Circle, a caller reports a bear which has been seen near his house previously has returned, the responding officer reports the bear had left prior to his arrival, the caller was advised to remove attractions such as bird feeders and garbage and to leave the bear alone, the caller was referred to the Department of Fish and Wildlife;
7:40 p.m.: trespassing, Hillside Road, a caller reports a person who had been served with a ‘No trespassing’ order came to his door, the responding officer reports that the caller said that his wife answered the door to find a person with whom he has had a previous dispute and who had been served with a ‘No trespassing’ order, both the caller and his wife said that there was no reason for the man to be there, the suspect had left the area and the officer reports he was unable to immediately contact him, a criminal complaint was filed;
8:39 p.m.: illegal dumping, Ponders Hollow Road, a patrol officer reports that bags of leaves and grass clippings were found to have been dumped in the area of the tin bridge.
