10:07 a.m.: found property, Howard Street, a caller reports hypodermic needles were found on Howard Street, the responding officer reports the needles were safely disposed of;
2:35 p.m.: harassment, Bates Road, a caller reports she is being harassed, the responding officer reports the caller said that unwanted phone calls have been received from a known party, the officer was able to speak with the suspect and advised that the calls stop;
3:27 p.m.: motor vehicle violation, Franklin Street, patrol officer reports a traffic stop, the officer reports that the vehicle was unregistered, the operator’s license was suspended and the man was the subject of an outstanding warrant, Eric Harold Larsen, 48, of 101 Fountain St., Springfield, was arrested for operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and on the warrant;
4:55 p.m.: assist motorist, Union Street, a caller reports a vehicle was struck by a golf ball, the responding officer reports he identified a person who had been hitting golf balls at the time at an adjacent driving range;
7:40 p.m.: annoying phone calls, Summer Street, a caller reports receiving unwanted phone calls, the responding officer reports he spoke with caller and advised him to stop calling the complainant;
8:24 p.m.: larceny, Elm Street, a resident came to the station to report a larceny, the responding officer reports that the complaint said that a recently filled prescription for a pain reliever had been stolen, the woman identified an acquaintance she suspects may be responsible;
10:57 p.m.: robbery, Southwood Acres, 342 Southwick Road, a caller reports he was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of his apartment complex, see story in the Saturday edition of The Westfield News.
