7:04 a.m.: Larceny, walk-in. A resident of an apartment in Westfield claimed that another resident stole $50 from them. Police are investigating but no further information was provided.

8:41 a.m.: Accident, hit-and-run, East Main Street. Police received a report of an alleged hit-and-run accident. According to the report, one vehicle was struck from behind by another and the vehicle that struck the other allegedly fled the scene. Police were given a description of the vehicle but did not report finding the vehicle at the time of the report.

11:52 a.m.: Accident, Union Avenue. Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a 2012 Toyota Corolla and a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. No injuries were reported and no tow trucks were requested.

6:43 p.m.: Traffic or motor vehicle complaint and arrest, Meadow Street. Police arrested three people in an ongoing investigation by the Westfield Detective Bureau. A vehicle, which was the one previously reported stolen April 7, was stopped as part of the investigation and, according to police, the vehicle had allegedly fled the scene of the initial stop, and in the process had allegedly struck another police vehicle arriving to the scene. Police arrested Kayla R. Bolio, 24, of Westfield, Matthew T. Danish, 31, of Westfield, and Derek W. Webb, 25 of Westfield, and charged all three with a variety of offenses, including drug-related ones. 10:16 p.m.: Shoplifting, Stop and Shop, Main Street. Police received a report of an alleged shoplifter who left the store but merchandise was recovered. According to police, the alleged nearly-stolen items were 17 packs of Kit-Kat bars. Police were given a description but no further information was provided by police.
