12:53 a.m.: Motor vehicle accident and arrest, Little River Road. Police received a report of a possible intoxicated driver that had hit a pole on Little River Road. The man was said to be outside his vehicle and picking up pieces of it. The caller then reported that the driver was allegedly walking down the road with a cane and what appeared to be a drink. Police attempted to contact the owner of the vehicle but they were unable to get a hold of them. Police were able to find Lawrence Jones, 59, of Southwick, about 15 minutes after the incident. They arrested and charged Jones with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and marked lanes violation.

12:29 p.m.: Burglary, breaking and entering (past), Holyoke Road. Police received a report of a property that was possibly broken into. The property is owned by someone in New York, and a neighbor checks on the property for them from time to time. The neighbor reported that the carport door was kicked in, which is how they believe it was broken into. However, there were no occupants when she checked the home and reported nothing stolen. Police had no other information.

1:40 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, walk-in. Police received a report of two ballards that were damaged at Park Square. The person reporting it had no suspect vehicles at the time of the report.

5:43 p.m.: Larceny, Wintergreen Lane. Police received a report of a set of golf clubs stolen from a home on Wintergreen Lane, via their garage being broken into. However, police later received a call from the one filing the complaint, saying that he found the clubs and called it a “senior moment.”

7:19 p.m.: Arrest, Elm Street. Police, in part of an ongoing investigation, arrested three individuals on charges related to possible drug dealing. Police said that they were able to purchase drugs from the individuals, which led to their arrests. Ed D. Drummer, 26, of Springfield, was charged with possession to distribute class B drugs, arrest on a warrant, distribute class B drugs, arrestee furnishing a false name and conspiracy to violate drug laws; Dashawn Coles, 25, of West Springfield, was charged with possession to distribute class B drugs, distribute class B drugs and conspiracy to violate drug laws; Tyriek L. Dixon, 26, of Springfield, was charged with possession to distribute class B drugs, arrest on a warrant, distribute class B drugs and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
