Major crime and incident report

1:45 a.m.: Assault, Main Street. Police received a report of a male who was allegedly assaulted. According to the report, a cup of liquid was thrown and an altercation ensued between the alleged victim and the assailant, which resulted in the alleged victim being punched in the face. No arrests were made.
10:33 a.m.: Vandalism of a motor vehicle, Cross Street. Police received a report from someone claimed that their rear window on their vehicle was smashed, but that there did not appear to be any theft. Police had no witnesses or suspects at the time of the report.
4:01 p.m.: Medical emergency, Pearl Street. Police received a report of a possible heroin overdose at a residence on Pearl Street. Westfield Police and Fire responded and paramedics treated and transported the party to Baystate Noble Hospital. Police said that drug paraphernalia was found, including bags and a needle.
4:41 p.m.: Motor vehicle accident, North Road. Police came across an accident on North Road while on detail, involving a 1997 Dodge Ram and a 2005 Toyota Sienna. Police requested ambulance and tow trucks. One of the vehicles ended up being towed, and Westfield Fire transported to Baystate Noble for treatment of injuries.
